Live Whole Health!

There is no one approach to help Veterans be their healthiest.  Routine check-ups, preventative health screenings, and medication management are essential to knowing where your health is at currently.  Clinical care and treatment of illnesses or chronic disease are necessary.  Medical care is important, but is only one part of the journey.  How you live your life between medical appointments is important to your health and well-being.  With the Whole Health approach, you are the center of your care, engaging with your VA health care team and being vocal about what matters to you.

Self-care and other things you do can increase healing, and support your health and well-being.  The VA can offer you a number of educational classes, along with comfort and integrative health therapies, to assist you along your journey.  Educational classes offer assistance with weight loss, quitting smoking, management of chronic diseases, and more.  Self-care classes such as yoga, healing touch, and tai chi are available as walk-in classes.  We also have Whole Health Coaches available to assist self-motivated Veterans in setting, and reaching, health and wellness goals based on what is important to the Veteran.

Join our Whole Health Orientation to explore what matters to you.  Attend the “Taking Charge of My Life and Health” series to learn about the components of proactive health and well-being: Moving the Body; Surroundings; Personal Development; Food and Drink; Recharge; Family, Friends, and Coworkers; Spirit and Soul, and Power of the Mind.  Evaluating these areas of your life can bring clarity and direction to what is really important in your life.

The time is right to invest in your health and wellness!  Let the our VA be your partner on your unique journey to living Whole Health.
